Burr Oak Bench

An ode to the late Nakashima and his work, waney burr oak has been used for the seat with European oak spindles with ash being used for the turned legs and backrest. Featuring a pair of patches and a butterfly joint.

This is a one-off piece due to the nature of the waney edge and burr formation, however the fundamentals of this piece can be reproduced and made bespoke to specific dimensions and needs.
